Contributing to the creation of communities where everyone has a place to connect, learn, and heal.
Spiritual & Communal Connection
To support authentic practice and transmission of cultural knowledge in a way that engages BIPOC individuals in connecting with community and fully exploring their culture identity, we seek to offer safe spaces to the following groups:
• Members of indigenous communities; • People of color who identify as LGBTQ+; • Those with biracial or mixed-race identities; • Historically marginalized religious and spiritual identities; AND • Other intersectional identities, as appropriate for the space.
Communities of Care
Cohorts of community members seeking to make an impact in their local community are trained in grassroots community organizing and supported with mentoring and technical assistance while they work on an issue they have identified as important. Solutions to community problems may include providing afterschool childcare or addressing food access in low-income neighborhoods, building a local childcare or tutoring program, and expanding access to culturally appropriate health services.
